I've made and lost a lot of money.
I started out 10 years ago, like everyone else: I wanted to make a lot of money in a short period of time. I had days when I was making $30,000, and days when I was losing $30,000. My trade size was huge. I was risking enormous amounts of money.
The BMW.
One day I finished trading, and I was up by over $70,000. I went shopping for a BMW M5. I didn't buy the car, because I thought I'd just keep trading and making money. You know what happened next: I lost that $70,000. And the cycle of random trading - switching trading systems, trading from the super-short term charts - began again.
But I found a better way.
I don't trade like that anymore. Those days of inconsistent and random trading are long gone. These days, I get 7-15 trades per month. I patiently plan my trades and talk to my friends. I don't get anxious anymore. I don't wake up in the middle of the night to look at a trade. I miss some, and sometimes I still make mistakes. We all do. But I have a plan, and it's been working for me for a long time now, and trading is a job that I do, a job I like, and I'd like to share my trades with you.
